Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Star Behavioral Health & Recovery Center is designed for individuals seeking a structured treatment option that allows them to maintain their daily routines while receiving intensive support. This program is ideal for those who have completed a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or for individuals who need a higher level of care than standard outpatient services. Our IOP focuses on helping clients stabilize their symptoms and reintegrate into their communities or workplaces effectively.

Participants in the IOP engage in 2 to 3 hours of group therapy sessions four times a week, tailored to address their unique clinical needs. The program combines therapeutic techniques, peer support, and skill-building exercises to promote lasting recovery.

Program Structure Includes:

  • Comprehensive Screening: Initial assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and individual treatment needs.
  • Clinical Assessments: Ongoing evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Individual Treatment Plans: Personalized plans developed collaboratively with each client, focusing on specific goals and strategies.
  • Group Counseling: Engaging in therapeutic group sessions four times a week for three hours, facilitating shared experiences and collective learning.
  • Individual Counseling: One-on-one sessions that allow clients to explore personal challenges and develop coping strategies.
  • Relapse Prevention: Education and strategies to help clients identify triggers and develop plans to maintain their recovery.
  • Coping Skills Development: Tools and techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges effectively.
  • Mental Health Therapy: Evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Medication Management: Coordination of medication needs, including Suboxone and other necessary prescriptions.
  • Housing Assistance: Support in securing stable housing as part of the recovery process.
  • Transportation Services: Providing transport to and from sessions to ensure accessibility and participation.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging attendance at outside 12-Step meetings and other support groups to reinforce recovery efforts.
  • Toxicology Screenings: Regular screenings to monitor substance use and ensure accountability.
  • Resources and Referrals: Providing clients with information and connections to additional support services, including vocational training and educational resources.
  • Discharge/Aftercare Planning: Developing a comprehensive plan for continued support after program completion, including follow-up care and community resources.
