Outpatient Program (OP)

At Star Behavioral Health & Recovery Center, our Outpatient Program (OP) offers flexible and individualized treatment services designed to meet the unique needs of each client. We provide therapeutic support through structured 75-minute group sessions, which can be scheduled from 1 to 4 times per week, depending on the individual’s clinical requirements. To ensure continuity of care, if a scheduled group session is missed, clients can attend a make-up session on Fridays.

Our OP is tailored for individuals who are ready to engage in recovery while maintaining their daily responsibilities, such as work or school. This program focuses on fostering independence and providing essential skills for managing substance use and mental health challenges.

Program Structure Includes:

  • Comprehensive Screening: Initial evaluations to assess individual needs and determine the appropriate level of care.
  • Clinical Assessments: Regular assessments to monitor progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
  • Individual Treatment Plans: Customizable plans developed collaboratively with each client to target specific goals and address unique challenges.
  • Group Counseling: Engaging 75-minute group therapy sessions that foster peer support and provide a space for shared experiences and learning.
  • Individual Counseling: One-on-one sessions where clients can delve deeper into personal challenges, setting the stage for meaningful progress in their recovery journey.
  • Relapse Prevention Strategies: Education on identifying triggers and developing proactive plans to maintain sobriety.
  • Coping Skills Development: Training in effective techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties, enhancing overall well-being.
  • Mental Health Therapy: Integration of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address any co-occurring mental health issues alongside substance use.
  • Medication Management: Coordination of medication needs, including Suboxone and other prescribed treatments, to ensure adherence and efficacy.
  • Housing Assistance: Support in finding stable housing options as a critical component of recovery.
  • Transportation Services: Providing clients with access to reliable transportation to attend sessions and other essential appointments.
  • Community Engagement: Encouragement to participate in outside 12-Step meetings and support groups to strengthen recovery efforts.
  • Toxicology Screenings: Regular monitoring through screenings to support accountability and promote transparency in the recovery process.
  • Resources and Referrals: Connecting clients with additional community resources, including vocational training, educational programs, and social services.
  • Discharge/Aftercare Planning: Developing a comprehensive plan for ongoing support after program completion, ensuring a smooth transition to continued recovery.
